GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Police are investigating a series of deadly crashes Thursday in Glen Burnie.

The first happened around 7:15 am in the area of Dorsey Road and Aviation Boulevard.

Allen Richard Rager, 54, was driving a Chevy Colorado east on Dorsey Road.

When he approached the intersection of Aviation Boulevard, Rager crossed the center line and struck an oncoming Chevy Express.

Rager later died at the hospital.

The 24-year-old driver of the Express, Cody Aaron Phillips, suffered serious injuries.

It's unclear what caused Rager to cross into Phillips' lane

Hours later around 6:35 pm, officers were called to Quarterfield Road at Parke West Drive for a pedestrian who'd just been struck.

Medics pronounced 37-year-old Peter Lee Stankiewicz dead on scene.

Police say he was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing and crossed the intersection against the traffic control device.

The driver remained on scene.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
