Expected snow Wednesday forces Baltimore City Schools to cancel in-person learning, student services

BALTIMORE — With up to a foot of snow possible, Baltimore City Public Schools have shut down all Wednesday in-person learning and student services.

Despite Wednesday's in-person closures, virtual learning will continue as scheduled.

Closures include the North Avenue building, student learning centers, special education learning and assessment centers, english learners, and small-group learning opportunities.

Those students should log-in to classes from home.

All meal sites and Laptop Support Services will also be closed.

Services such as laptop repair, enrollment/choice/transfer, and the Multilingual Enrollment and Support Center will be suspended for the day.

All non-essential employees assigned to North Avenue should work remotely. Employees that require travel to North Avenue, must coordinate with their supervisor beforehand.
