EDGEMERE, Md. — Baltimore County Police on Thursday released details on a deadly crash that happened December 8 in Edgemere.

Leo George Zimmerman III, 28, was driving a Chevy Silverado east on Sparrows Point Road when he reportedly went through a red light at the North Point Road intersection, and struck a Nissan Altima.

The collision caused Zimmerman to leave the road, hit a fence, and then the side porch of a home in the 3100 block of Sparrows Point Road.

He later died at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

The Nissan driver didn't suffer any injury.

But the impact of the crash caused the fence that was hit to fall on top of an unoccupied parked Chevy Malibu.

Anyone with information should call detectives at 410-307-2020.
