(WMAR) — A Delta Air Lines flight from Atlanta en route to Baltimore was diverted due to a mechanical issue.

According to an ABC News affiliate in North Carolina, Delta flight 1425 flying out of Atlanta was diverted to Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

They say the plane safely landed at the airport Monday afternoon.

Delta Air Lines released a statement on the incident:

“The flight crew of Delta flight 1425 from Atlanta to Baltimore elected to divert to Raleigh, N.C. out of an abundance of caution after receiving an indication of a possible issue with one of the aircraft’s engines. The flight landed without incident and customers will be reaccommodated on an alternate aircraft. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience this diversion may have caused.”

There were a total of 154 people on board and no reported injuries.
