TANEYTOWN, Md. — A driver is in the hospital with life threatening injuries following a Sunday evening single car crash in Taneytown.
It happened around 8:40 pm in the 4600 block of Harney Road.
Arriving crews found a 34-year-old man trapped inside an overturned Ford pickup truck, that had just struck a tree.
The driver was eventually rescued and taken to Shock Trauma by helicopter.
Deputies believe the driver was heading down a curve when it began skidding and overturned.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the initial cause. Anyone with information should call Master Deputy Craft at 410-386-5900.
