BALTIMORE — Valentine's Day is the time of year that people shower their loved ones with gifts and special treats.

Councilman John Bullock is joining in on the celebration by giving away n95 reusable masks, carnations, “where to call for help” magnets, and recyclable shopping bags, which will come in handy when the city's plastic bag ban goes into effect.

"We have to provide the bags, we can't always expect that people are going to have them on their own. In my car I have several bags, we need to make sure that people have a supply of them. When I go grocery shopping for my boys I need to have multiple bags and everyone else needs the same thing."

The masks and recyclable shopping bags were made right here in Baltimore, at Citywide Youth Development.
