BALTIMORE — Around the world on a plate, it's an experience nearly 100 kids won't forget.

Chopped finalist Ed Evans took Y of Central Maryland kids on a global culinary adventure. Evans is the Executive Chef at Live! Casino and Hotel and was on Chopped earlier this year.

Evans said on the show that he wanted to win the money to give kids in under served communities an opportunity to experience different global cultures through cuisine.

Although Evans didn't win, Live! helped make that dream a reality.

"Being a native Baltimore resident, understanding some of the struggles that we have growing up as children, me making it out of that life and making it here and really having the opportunity to show kids a path and a way to get out, it means the world to me. It's my purpose in life," Evans said.
