CARROLL COUNTY, Md. — In response to escalating COVID-19 cases in the community, Carroll County Public Library (CCPL) will revert to contactless services, including Express Pickup, on December 21.

All buildings will be closed to the public, except for the lobbies which will be used for Express Pickup.

“While we are disappointed to have to reduce some of our services, we believe this is the proper decision to keep our customers and our staff safe during this difficult time,” said Andrea Berstler, CCPL Executive Director.

Express Pickup allows customers to request materials by phone or online and then pick them up at the branch of their choice. In addition, librarians offer personalized recommendations for materials, either by phone or online.

Customers should use the exterior bookdrops when returning items. CCPL continues to be fine-free and offer convenient automatic renewals on eligible items.

Librarians will also be available to answer information and account questions. Information Service will be available by calling any CCPL branch Monday-Friday from 10:00am – 6:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am – 3:00pm.
