BEL AIR — After 7 years of dedicated service to the Bel Air Police Department and allied agencies within Harford County, K-9 Blitz retired Saturday.
Blitz has been paired with Officer Jonathan Kauffman since 2013.
Over the course of his career, Blitz conducted more than 120 narcotic searches, had 110 patrol deployments and performed more than 25 K-9 demonstrations at public events.
During his tenure, Blitz was responsible for several criminal apprehensions.
Blitz will continue to live with Officer Kauffman, spending his time playing ball and relaxing.
