BALTIMORE — Organizations across the state are honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today.
In Baltimore, organizers held a grocery giveaway and focused on initiatives aimed at ending violence in the city.
The event also offered job opportunities and drug treatment support services.
And this afternoon, the Peoples Power Assembly and its allies held a digital rally and car caravan to honor the civil rights leader.
They began on North Charles Street in Baltimore and went to Jessup Correctional Institute and the Howard County Ice Detention Center.
There, they demanded justice for inmates.
There was also a virtual speak-out where organizers played video speeches.
