BALTIMORE — Baltimore City DPW has announced new COVID-19 restrictions for reservoirs.

On Dec. 10, Mayor Brandon Scott issued an Executive Order to increase efforts to control the spread of COVID-19 by limiting large gatherings and continuing to encourage social distancing.

To further support the Mayor’s Executive Order, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark announced restrictions at the three City-owned reservoirs located in Baltimore County: Liberty, Prettyboy, and Loch Raven.

The new reservoir restrictions are that:

• Effective December 15, boat ramps will be closed at dusk and remain closed until April 1, 2021.
• Planned hiking events, including three hiking events that were scheduled for the coming weeks, are canceled.
