TOWSON, Md. — Baltimore County's School Messenger has been experiencing widespread outages on Friday.
The school system's IT department is investigating the situation.
Initially Baltimore County Public Schools said it was all their websites that were down.
They now say their main website is hosted on another platform, and is accessible.
Just a few months ago, the system fell victim to a ransomware attack, halting virtual and in-person learning for multiple days.
It's unclear if Friday's issues have any connection to that attack, and how online learning is being impacted for the day.
