WASHINGTON D.C. — Seven passengers have been taken to the hospital after a flight leaving BWI Airport had an unusual odor on the plane.

According to United Airlines, a Boeing 737 leaving BWI Airport and heading to San Francisco had to make an emergency landing at Dulles International Airport around 7:45 Friday morning.

The airline says the landing was due to reports of an odor in the cabin of United Airlines flight 1675. The plane landed at Dulles without incident.

Seven people were taken to the hospital for further evaluation, but further details have not been released at this time.

United Airlines say there have been no impacts to airport operations.
