OXON HILL, Md. — A 23-year-old man died in a single-car crash off of I-495 in Prince George’s County, Maryland State Police said.

Troopers responded to a crash north of Indian Head Highway, in a paved parking area at Exit 3 for Route 210/Indian Head Highway in Oxon Hill at about 12:30 a.m. There they found a Chrysler Sebring that had lost control and left the roadway. The Sebring struck a tractor trailer and then a car carrier that were both parked off the roadway.

The tractor trailer was unoccupied at the time, and the car carrier had one person inside who refused medical treatment. The driver of the Sebring, Tervon Edwards, of District Heights, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Maryland State Police Crash Team personnel are investigating the crash. A cause has not been determined yet, and nothing has been ruled out as a contributing factor, police said.
