16-year-old stabbed in Belcamp following physical altercation, suspect wanted

BELCAMP — A 16-year-old was stabbed in Belcamp after getting into a physical altercation with an unknown man.

On Sunday at about 9:13 p.m., deputies with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1400 block of Primrose Place in Belcamp for the report of a stabbing.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim, a 16-year-old teenage boy, who was suffering from a stab wound to the upper body.

Deputies immediately began rendering aid to the victim until medics arrived. Medics then took him to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of what are believed to be serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation was assumed by detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.

Investigators from the Forensic Services Unit responded to the area, to collect and preserve physical evidence in support of the investigation.

Initial information provided to detectives indicates the victim was walking in the area of Church Creek Road with another juvenile, when they were approached by an unknown man who began pushing them.

A brief physical altercation ensued and the suspect pulled out a knife and began swinging it at the juveniles, stabbing the 16-year-old. The other juvenile was not injured.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. No further details are being released at this time.
