MIDDLE RIVER, Md. — On Thursday night, Baltimore County Police were called to the 1500 block of Aldeney for an injured 12-year-old.

Initially officers thought the child had been grazed by a bullet.

On Friday morning, officials said the injury was actually a stab wound and not from a gun.

Investigators believe the victim sustained the injury by accident while "horse playing," with friends.

The child is expected to survive.
