A inmate was found unresponsive at a detention center in Westminster Tuesday afternoon.
At 12:41 p.m. deputies responded to the Carroll County Detention Center for a report of an unconscious man.
Sheriff's deputies identified the man as Brian Robinson, 35, of Baltimore.
During the initial investigation, investigators discovered that other inmates attempted to wake Robinson in the work release unit. However, the inmates were unsuccessful and immediately notified a Correctional Officers for assistance.
Mr. Robinson was pronounced dead at 12:33p.m.
According the Carroll County Sheriff's no foul play was suspected and the cause of death is unknown.
Deputies are currently reviewing a surveillance video that showed Robinson's final moments and the investigation remains on-going.
