You'd think most 16-year-olds would be eager to get driver's licenses and expand their personal independence. 
 
But parents of teens today say that kids aren't that interested in driving anymore. There are fewer 16-year-old drivers on the road than we've seen since the 1960s. 
 
Just 54 percent of teens get their license before they turn 18. It's a trend that doesn't make sense to adults. 
 
Owen Murray, consumer auto advocate with CARCHEX, joined ABC2's In Focus to explain what it means for the country.
