MD bounce house guidelines

A Nevada family has the latest warning about inflatable bounce houses after a father says his daughter became stuck to one of them. 
 
At a children's festival over the weekend, the little girl's hair became tangled in one of the velcro strips and she started screaming. 
 
Depsite horror story after horror story, the numbers show that the injuries are out-pacing regulations. It's up to each state to decide whether or not to regulate inflatables. 
 
About half the states in the US regulate bounce houses at amusement parks and carnivals, including Maryland. 
 
Bounce houses are included among amusement attractions. Companies are required to buy insurance for amusement rides and to have a certificate of inspection for each ride.
