New study stresses important of early development

A new study found that without quality early childhood experiences, children could earn up to 25 percent less as adults.

That difference could mean future generations are at risk of being trapped in poverty. 

Maureen Black, MD, with the University of Maryland School of Medicine and University of Maryland Children's Hospital is the leader author on one of the papers and a contributing author on the other two. She joined ABC2's In Focus to discuss her findings.
