New medical kits for Howard County Fire

Dozens of officers were called to the campus of UCLA after a gunman shot and killed one man before turning the gun on himself.

The campus is now safe, but at one point it was locked down as officers surrounded an engineering building looking for the shooter.

While it's hard to be prepared for emergencies like this, health care professionals and first responders are always looking for new and better ways to handle them.

Howard County Fire's Medical Director Dr. Matthew Levy and firefighter Chris Everett joined ABC2's In Focus to demonstrate how to use the new kits.
