Advocating for adult literacy

Posted

About half a million adults in Maryland lack a high school diploma, which keeps them from pursuing many jobs and job training programs.

Maryland Association of Adult Community and Continuing Education (MAACCE) has launched a Go GREEN for adult literacy campaign. The campaign takes place Sept. 25 through Oct. 1 in conjunction with national adult and family literacy awareness week.

Dr. Cynthia Campbell with MAACCE and Pamela, a graduate of the state program joined Kelly Swoope on ABC2's In Focus to discuss the initiative.
