Soda sales in Howard County saw a 20 percent drop in 2015, according to a recent study.
Researchers at the American Heart Association found that sales decreased after a campaign pushing community outreach and policy changes.
The study also found that sales of 100 percent juice, and also fruit-flavored drinks with added sugar, dropped by 15 percent in Howard County compared to data complied in 2012.
