Slow down: you may not need to work out that much to stay healthy

Posted

Working out just two or three times a week can have major benefits for your heart as you age.

That's according to a new study in the Journal of Physiology.

It says exercising for just half an hour a few times a week can result in healthier mid-sized arteries, which feed your head and neck.

Working out four to five times a week can help arteries better pump blood into your abdomen and chest.
