Maryland had its first cases of the flu this season.
The Department of Health says three adults in the Baltimore area have been diagnosed.
One of them was treated at a hospital, but was later released.
Typically, flu season begins as early as October, so this isn't out of the norm.
Health officials say since the flu is expected to be worst this year they urge everyone to get a shot.
