According to a recent survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Maryland is the 3rd most sleep-deprived state in the country behind only Kentucky and Hawaii.

About 61 percent of Marylanders get at least seven hours of sleep. The national average is just above 65 percent, the CDC said. 

More than a third of Americans don't get at least seven hours of sleep a night.
