FDA says you can 'overdose' on black licorice

On this Halloween, a warning from doctors about eating too much of a certain candy. 

The FDA is advising anyone over the age of 40 to not eat more than two ounces of black licorice a day, which is about three one-inch pieces.

If you eat more than that over the course of a couple weeks, you could end up in the hospital with an irregular heart rhythm.

Black licorice contains a compound that can cause potassium levels to fall, leading to abnormal heart rhythms.
