Maryland State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration have partnered to offer Marylanders an opportunity to dispose of unwanted prescriptions drugs.
On April 30, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. unwanted drugs can be taken to a state police barracks for disposal.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs. There will also be educational resources available.
In last year's initiative, troopers collected over 2,400 pounds of prescription drugs. Nationally, 700,000 pounds of prescription medications were collected from members of the public.
