One resident critically injured following Frederick County house fire; 2 others hospitalized

FREDERICK, Md. — One patient is in critical condition following a house fire that happened in Frederick County Tuesday morning.

At around 6:55 a.m., Fire and Rescue units were called to the 1000 block of Wilson Place for a report of a house fire with an entrapment. Units arrived to find fire showing through the front of the home.

Units first on the scene were notified that two people were trapped in the house. DFRS personnel were able to find the two adult patients and remove them from the house. Afterwards, medical aid was rendered to all three occupants.

Two patients were transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital. One is in critical condition and the other is in stable condition. The third patient was taken to Bayview Medical Center.

It took firefighters about 15 minutes to get the fire under control.

Officials say that the cause of the fire and estimated damage is under investigation.
