Baltimore City Schools seek funds from governor

Parents, teachers, community and religious leaders gathered in Baltimore City to discuss children's education.

The group wanted to send a message to lawmakers in Annapolis that the time is now, it's time to invest in Baltimore student, don't derail the progress.

The Baltimore Education Coalition is calling on Gov. Hogan to fill a $24 million loss in state aid to city schools.

Hogan insists funding Maryland schools remains a priority and cuts aren't coming.
