A College Park woman says she woke up Saturday morning to find a man raping her.
At approximately 5:54 a.m., Prince George’s County Police say they responded to an off-campus apartment building in the 4500 block of Fordham Lane near the University of Maryland, College Park for a rape and burglary report.
The woman told police that at around 5:30 a.m., she was in her bed sleeping when she realized she was being sexually penetrated. The woman says she thought the man was her boyfriend, and said his name, but didn’t get an answer.
She then reached for the man’s hair and realized that it wasn’t her boyfriend in bed. The woman told police that the man got out of bed and left the apartment after she made a noise.
Doors to the building and also to the apartment were both unlocked, according to police.
The suspect has been described as a male wearing a dark hoodie with dark pants.
