Maryland State Police are looking for two or more suspects after police found a man lying on a front yard with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police were called to the 800 block of Gettysburg Avenue around 10:00 Monday night. When they got to the scene they found Arthur William Smith, 31, shot multiple times. He was laying on the ground in the front yard of the home.

While Smith was in route to the hospital he died from his injuries.

A preliminary investigation shows there were two or more suspects involved in the shooting. The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit and Salisbury City Police are working to find more information.

Investigators are not sure if Williams was the intended target.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call Crime Solvers of The Lower Eastern Shore at 410-548-1776. A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
