A suspect has been arrested after a man and women were found dead by deputies in Frederick early Thursday morning.
The Frederick County Sheriff's Office says they were called to an assault in progress on Acadia Court around 5:00 a.m.
When they got to the scene, they found a man and woman in the road with serious injuries. EMS workers gave emergency care, but both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect in the double homicide was quickly found by deputies close to the scene and was arrested.
In the preliminary investigation, deputies believe that all involved knew each other, and there are no other suspects.
The man and woman will be taken to the Medical Examiner's Officer in Baltimore for autopsies. The cause of death and the identity of the victims has not been released.
Deputies say the investigation is ongoing.
