$5,000 reward offered, victims ID'd in Columbia apartment murder

Howard County Police identified the victims and are offering a $5,000 reward for information about an incident discovered Sunday in which a 36-year-old woman was killed and a 42-year-old man was injured in a Columbia apartment.

Sunday evening, police responded to the apartment in the 8800 block of Spiral Cut for a welfare check. In the residence, police found Amanda Nicole Harris, of Spiral Cut, dead, and Williams James Web, of the same address, “significantly injured,” police said. Webb remains in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore Police said both victims’ injuries appear to be the result of blunt force trauma.

Police did not share any additional information nor motive in the case. Police found the home “to be secure upon arrival.” Police are not sure if the suspect or suspects knew the victim. Investigators are hoping to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area during the overnight hours of May 4 into May 5.
