Crews have extinguished an Edgewood two-alarm multi-home blaze.

On Sunday night, at a little after 11 p.m., the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported that at least three homes broke out in flames in the 900 block of Olive Branch Court.

Several fire companies responded to assist and they had the fire out by midnight. There were no injuries and the blaze did not extend past the original three homes.

The cause, however, is still unclear and under investigation.

Update:  Fire investigators with the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office say it appears the fire started on the deck of one townhouse and flames then spread to two adjacent units.

At his point, there is no evidence of arson or of foul play.

A woman in a nearby townhouse spotted the reflection of flames in her window and alerted neighbors to evacuate before calling 911.

Estimated damage to the townhouse where the fire started is $275,000.
