Students were evacuated from Elkton High School after a bomb threat was made Friday afternoon.

Elkton Police say the school received four threatening 'spoof' calls from an unidentified source.

A sweep of the building yielded negative results. Authorities don't believe there is validity to the threats.

Cecil County Public Schools said in a statement on Facebook that they are evacuating the school as a precautionary measure.

Due to a bomb threat at Elkon High School, students will be dismissed from the school as advised by law enforcement as a precautionary measure. Walkers and students who drive will be dismissed immediately. Bus riders will be dismissed as buses arrive at the schools. Parents who wish to sign their children out will be directed to the proper entrance and will follow sign out procedures. Individuals authorized to pick up students should have their photo identification. Law enforcement is present at the school to assist in the dismissal.

No injuries were reported.
