A Rising Sun, Md. man has been charged with three counts of distribution of child pornography and three counts of possession of child pornography after an investigation by the Maryland State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation.
David Poplawski, 32, was arrested at his resident without incident at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday. He was taken to the Maryland State Police North East Barrack for processing and is being held at teh Cecil County Detention Center.
In January 2018, the task force began an investigation in which they downloaded child pornography, leading them to identify the specific source of the files. After obtaining a warrant for his residence, police determined Poplawski's electronic devices contained evidence supporting the child pornography charges.
