The Carroll County Sheriff's Office has arrested two suspects in homicide of woman found dead at the corner of Muller and Old Washington Road.

Neighbors say they saw police cars at a home in the 2,000 block of Dennings Road Monday night, and said the woman who lived there inherited the home from her brother who died of cancer.

According to police, the people upstairs found blood in the basement and no one at home. They contacted officers and told them there may have been a fight at the home between Robert Theodore Bosley, 38, Bret Michael Wheeler, 25, and Kandi Lynn Gerber, 35.

Bosley and Wheeler returned to the home without Gerber, but ran off after learning law enforcement had been contacted.

Sheriff's deputies located Bosley and Wheeler Monday and detained the them at 6:29 p.m. Gerber's body was found nearly two hours later at 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Old Washington Road and Muller Road. She was pronounced dead at the scene and had signs of trauma from a sharp edged weapon.

Both Bosley and Wheeler have been charged with first degree murder.

Bosley is an inmate at the Carroll County Detention Center who was participating in the work release program. He was not expect to return to the facility Monday until 9:30 p.m. He was due to be released in September. Bosley has resided at the Dennings Road address when not incarcerated. He is currently at the Carroll County Detention Center.

Wheeler was transported to central booking where he remains in custody.

The community is shaken from the murder. On average, officials say there are only one or two murders in the county per year.
