After 60 years, many customers still prefer to step back in time---pulling into the 'Direct To You' gas station on East George Street in Westminster for a full service fill up.

But on Monday, three masked men wrote a new piece of history when they entered the business and robbed two employees at gunpoint.

"We've got the pictures,” said the owner of the station, Jim Langdon, “We've got the pictures of them coming and going and then there was also a video taken across the street of the getaway car.  So they've got some pretty good leads on them and whoever did it should be shook up a little bit."

The same could be said for the robbery victims since the lead robber appeared to be carting a very powerful and intimidating weapon.

"We believe it's a sawed off shotgun,” said Capt. Pete D’Antuono of the Westminster Police Department. “It looked like it might have had an improvised sling attached to it."

The three robbers also appeared to be seasoned criminals, since they got in and out of the station in just 20 seconds, but thanks to a small piece of 21st century technology, the third robbery in the business's history may prove to be just as futile as the other two.

"One, they tried to grab money out of the employee's hands at the pumps and they missed.  They didn't get it, but then the other was an armed robbery.  That's been years and years ago, but the guy that did that was caught, and I'm sure they'll catch these guys too," Langdon said.

The robbery happened about six o'clock Monday evening, and the three men we're seen driving away in a silver sedan.

Police are now offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to their arrest and conviction.
