FEDERALSBURG, Md. — A 49-year-old Cambridge man was arrested and charged in the Jan. 18 death of a 42-year-old Federalsburg woman, Maryland State Police announced Tuesday.

Stanley E. Ricketts turned himself in to police in Federalsburg at 2:20 p.m. Monday, state police said. He was wanted for the murder of Tameko L. Barham, who was found dead at her residence in the 400 block of Brown Road in Federalsburg. Ricketts is charged with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, and other pending charges. He is being held without bond at the Caroline County Detention Center.

Police were called to Barham’s home at 3:30 p.m. on Jan 18 by members of her family who went to check on her after learning she did not go to work. Her body was discovered in a shed on the property by family members. Medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
