MIDDLE RIVER, Md. — Baltimore County Police have arrest and charged two men for attempting an armed robbery in Middle River on Monday.

A couple minutes before 10:30 p.m., the victim, an adult woman, was standing behind the Middle River Assembly of God in the 9600 block of Bird River Road when two suspects, one armed with an apparent handgun, walked up to her and demanded money.

The woman screamed for help and the suspects ran away. However, police quickly found and arrested 21-year-old Nigel Carlton Torrence, of the 1700 block of Waverly Way, and 19-year-old Dontrell Kelvin Randall, of the unit block of King Charles Circle, in the 1200 block of Middle River Road.

Both suspects, who are currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on no bail status pending a bail review hearing, were arrested and charged with armed robbery, first-degree-assault and second-degree-assault.
