A 13-year-old boy is facing charges after police say he kissed a fellow student on a dare.

Shortly after 11:30 a.m., the school resource officer at Pikesville Middle School met with a 14-year-old girl who is in eighth grade and the student's guardian, Baltimore County Police said.

The girl told the officer that a 13-year-old boy at the school had grabbed her by her shirt near her stomach, pulled her toward him and "open mouth kissed her with his tongue," according to police.

The boy, who is also in eighth grade at the school, told police that someone had dared him to kiss the girl.

He was charged as a juvenile with second-degree assault and released to his mother at the school.

The student was also given disciplinary action through the school, a school system spokesman said.
