Police identified a 17-year-old student who brought a handgun to Perry Hall High School Thursday.
Christopher James Engles, of the unit block of Bellhurst Way, is being held without bail. Engles was charged as an adult with firearm possession.
The teen didn’t threaten or point the weapon at anyone, but showed it off to other students, according to a school officer.
The officer took the gun and Engles was taken into custody.
In 2012, a student shot and critically injured another student in Perry Hall High School's cafeteria. The 15-year-old was sentenced to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted murder in the crime.
