Baltimore County police are investigating after someone fired shots at four cars, including a police vehicle,in Sparks Thursday afternoon.
Police said around 1:50 p.m. a woman reported being shot at in her car at Phoenix Road and York Road. A responding police officer's vehicle was also targeted. Police confirm a round was shot through the rear window of the woman's mini-van.
Tami Principio was riding with her 12-year-old daughter when she heard a gunshot.
"I looked at her and said 'I think somebody just shot the car," Principio said. "She said, 'You're kidding right?' and it was like you couldn't really believe that that just happened."
No one was hurt, which has Pincipio feeling thankful.
"Just the fact that neither one of us were hit, that it went into the rear window and not the front, that nobody else was hurt today. Yeah, couldn't be any more grateful," she said.
A search of area including K-9’s and a helicopter did not locate a suspect. Officials said there is no ongoing threat.
Phoenix Road at York Road was shut down during the investigation.
