It was late on March 9, 2015.

Tiesha Rogers and a friend were returning to her Dundalk home after a night of shopping.  As the pair got out of the car on Conley Street, two suspects opened fire on the women.  Rogers, despite live saving efforts by her neighbors, died at the scene, while her friend survived.

Rogers was raised by her grandmother, and bought the home on her own a few months before.

Charlene Alexander describes her granddaughter as a giving person and worries her good heart lead to her death.

"She'd give you her last, she would give anybody her last it didn't make a difference, she would just give it to you. You tell her you needed something she was just there," Alexander said.
