Perry Hall Middle School will take extra precautions on Monday due to a social media threat.
Early Sunday Baltimore County police were notified that someone had posted on Instagram, possibly threatening harm at Perry Hall Middle school on Monday.
Police acted quickly to identify the source and discovered it was a student at Perry Hall Middle School.
A preliminary investigation found the threat was not credible.
However, as a precautionary measure, there will be an increased police presence at Perry Hall Middle School on Monday.
The student was arrested Sunday evening and will be charged.
