Owings Mills double shooting suspect ID'd

Police have charged a Baltimore County man in connection with a double shooting that left one man dead last week in Owings Mills.

Carlos Levell Nicholson, 31, of the unit block of Fennington Circle in Owings Mills is charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder in connection with the shooting.

On Jan. 7, just before 11 p.m., police responded to Lowergate Court for reports of shots fired in the area. When officers arrived they found one man dead on the sidewalk and another man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators believe that Nicholson shot the two victims after having some sort of interaction. He was being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center Monday.

The shooting remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit.
