ESSEX, Md. — One person is injured after police say they were shot in a field behind some apartments in Essex on Wednesday night.
According to police, the shooting happened around 8:17 p.m. in the field behind Kings Mill Apartments and Townhomes in the 1400 block of Hadwick Drive.
Details are still limited at this time, but police say the victim's was shot in a lower extremity and his injuries are non-life threatening.
