Man shot in Owings Mills, police investigating

A man was shot in Owings Mills Tuesday night and police are investigating.

Detectives believe the victim was involved in some kind of interaction with the shooter shortly before midnight in the 9200 block of Leigh Choice Court, according to Baltimore County police.

The suspect showed a gun and the victim started to run. That's when the suspect shot the victim once, police said.

The victim drove himself to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Baltimore County Police Department's violent crimes unit is investigating.
