DUNDALK, Md. — Baltimore County Police said a man who was critically injured in a Dundalk shooting last week has died.

At about 8 p.m., police were called to the 400 block of Avondale Road for a report of a shooting on March 27. When they arrived, they found a 27-year-old Gerrard Eugene Taylor lying in an alley behind the location. The victim suffered at least one gunshot wound to his upper body and was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the location, prior to the officers' arrival.

Officials said Taylor was pronounced deceased at 6:02 p.m. on Friday, March 29, after being removed from life support at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Police are asking anyone who saw or heard anything Wednesday night, or who may have information regarding this shooting or the suspect, to contact Homicide detectives by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.
